Film Don't Lie Hoops was built in 2020 as a means to help players identify their strengths and weakness through film breakdown and analysis. Coach Cyp uses his experience as a college coach the Help the Hoopers.
Coach Cyp lettered four seasons for Southeastern Louisiana University from 2003-2007. He was part of two conference championship teams, one of which was an NCAA tournament participant (2005) and the first team in school history to do so. Coach Cyp was lauded for his defensive abilities during his time as a Lion and was instrumental in road wins against Power 5 opponents Oregon State and Penn State.
Coach Cyp spent nine (9) seasons on the sidelines as a college assistant coach. During that time he coached at institutions in the junior college, NAIA, NCAA Division 1, and NCAA Division 2 levels. Coach Cyp had the opportunity to recruit, develop, and coach All-American and All-Conference players, some of whom played, and still play, professionally.
From Mike’s playing career at Southeastern Louisiana it was evident he had an extreme passion and knowledge for basketball. It’s only fitting that he is involved in the basketball profession. His work ethic and drive separates him. He’s definitely what you call a basketball junkie.

I have had the privilege to work with Coach Cyprien. He is a mastermind at breaking down film and one of the best in the business. He's helped my players understand the different reads, attacking opportunities, shot selection, and making the one more pass. It’s amazing how he gets the players to understand the game. Highly recommend his services.

Coach Mike has been very instrumental in changing and improving my game to help to extend my career from college basketball to become a professional overseas. He guided me as coach by teaching me to understand the game better through hours of watching film. I can’t thank him enough for all that he has done for me and my family over the years. Because of the work he has been doing with me, I able to get jobs in overseas and take care of my family.

I've been knowing Mike Cyprien for almost 6 years now. Cyp is one of the most genuine dudes in the basketball world. His knowledge and more importantly how he applies that knowledge to what he's doing is second to none! I've always loved bouncing ideas on the scouting and player evaluation piece with Cyp! It's hard to find guys in the basketball business that are truly in it for the right reasons and Cyp is definitely one. We value his scouting in our approach to recruiting and player evaluations every year! He's a guy that is only going to continue to get better and grow in this industry!
